How to live spiritual and Physical balanced life?

 As a Christian many times in our life we find it difficult to balance our life spiritually and physically. Since we have, I would like to say double role, we are in world physically but our destiny is heaven which is spiritual so, many time we are in mess in our life.

'We Christian cannot live a spiritual life by depriving ourselves from the world, and we cannot live in a world without the spiritual world' 

Two dimension of our life i.e Spiritual and physical dimension are intertwined.

Since we are related to both dimension we must have balanced in both area.

- Man is Spiritual being in physical body.

- Primary purpose of physical body is to provide residence to soul. 

- We live in world but not for world. We live for Spiritual world but not on it. “But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives.”- Philippians 3:20 

Example : We are like ambassador 

                 This presents the Christian with a DIFFICULT TASK: “LIVE FOR CHRIST IN THE WORLD. 

- Our physical life determines our eternity. Our present affects our future. Our physical life is temporary but our spiritual life is permanent. 

-  Each one of us Has purpose on earth from God. We expand and establish kingdom of heaven on earth.


Physical world is not a threat for Christian:

- 2 Corinthians 6:14-15

- Mark 4:19

Many time by quoting this verses, we like to hate world as much as possible but i would like to remind you all we got Earth as a gift and blessing from God to live in it and to make it beautiful,

"And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth" - Genesis 1:28

I have seen many Christian fellow, misinterpreting those verses and declaring war against the world but Paul reminds us that our war is not against world i.e  'flesh and blood' but our war is Spiritual.

Jesus himself warns us not against world but against "cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches and the desires for other worldly things" (Mark 4:19)

- Keeping any other worldly things on God's place is an idolatry. Our God is jealous God.

Luke 12:19-21 "Story of Rich foolish Man"

- Life is so much more than the “abundance of possessions.”


When world is threat to us?

The world is a threat to us when we are Covetous and love the things of the world more than God and the spiritual things.

2 Corinthians 4:18 "as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal"

 Does God wants us to hate world?
Absolutely the answer is NO
-The problem is not the world or anything in it, but the lust, greed and covetousness towards it.
- The problem was not in the fruit of the tree of good and evil but the problem was on Man's intention to disobey the Good's command.
Example : To own car is not bad but to keep cleaning and washing instead of going church and participating fellowship is bad 
                  To use cellphone is not a sin but when God's place is taken by this tiny device it becomes sin. Keeping any other thing on God's place is idolatry.
- God wants to establish and expand His kingdom through us on this earth.
- He gave this world to us to make it better.
